Football Continues Practice For Rutgers
Oct. 30, 2002
Coral Gables, Fla. (www.hurricanesports.com) – Under somewhat cooler conditions than normal, the University of Miami football team prepared Wednesday afternoon for Saturday’s noon contest against Rutgers.
Coach Larry Coker was pleased with the speed of the practice.
“(We had) really a good, spirited practice today,” the coach said. “Guys really liked the speed. It’s probably the fastest practice that we’ve had in a while. Guys were running around well and chasing the ball around on defense and really finished well. Same thing on offense. Guys did a great job. The receivers ran with a lot of speed. The backs ran well. The linemen really finished well and I was really pleased to see that part of it. (We did) a lot of work on our kicking game and, again, and just the final preparation in pads for Saturday.”
The Hurricanes’ game against Rutgers will be televised on ESPN Regional with a noon kickoff.
