Soccer Hosts FAU In Home Opener

CORAL GABLES, Fla.– The University of Miami soccer team will play host to Florida Atlantic in the home opener 7 p.m. Tuesday night at Cobb Stadium.

Miami enters the contest 2-0 after defeating Indiana 1-0 OT and Loyola 2-0 last weekend.

Miami leads the all-time series 4-1 over FAU.

The Owls also started the season 2-0 after beating Indiana (1-0) and Loyola (2-1 OT).

Sophomore Lindsey Yach (Carrollton, Texas) leads the Hurricanes with three points on the season after scoring a goal in the win over Loyola and tallying the game-winning assist in the win over Indiana.

Freshman goalkeeper Alex Alford (Atlanta, Ga.) had a strong showing this weekend making 12 saves, allowing no goals in 181 minutes of action.
