2025 NFL Draft Central

The 2025 NFL Draft kicked off from venerable Lambeau Field in Green Bay, Wisc., on Thursday, April 24.

The Canes have now produced 369 all-time draft selections — most in the ACC — including 66 first-round picks. Quarterback Cam Ward became that 66th first rounder Thursday night when the Tennessee Titans took him first overall. Ward became the third Miami player selected with the top overall pick, joining quarterback Vinny Testaverde (Tampa Bay, 1987) and defensive tackle Russell Maryland (Dallas, 1990).

Ward was one of seven Canes drafted — the most for Miami since 2017. On Friday tight end Elijah Arroyo was selected by Seattle in the second round with the 50th overall pick. On Saturday the Cincinnati Bengals selected offensive lineman Jalen Rivers, the New England Patriots picked kicker Andy Borregales, the Seattle Seahawks drafted running back Damien Martinez and the New York Jets drafted two Canes — linebacker Francisco Mauigoa and defensive end Tyler Baron. Congratulations to all!

Cam Ward begins a new chapter in Nashville as he's selected number one overall by the Titans in the 2025 NFL Draft.
