Lauren Flaum enters her first season as Chief of Staff for the University of Miami women’s basketball program, bringing more than a decade of experience in high-level collegiate athletics. She arrives in Coral Gables after two seasons as Director of Basketball Operations at Arizona, where she played a key role in NIL development and revenue-sharing strategy while leading initiatives in marketing, branding, stakeholder relations, and contract management.
Before her time with the Wildcats, Flaum spent three seasons at Tulane in the same role, overseeing day-to-day operations and supporting the coaching staff in scheduling, budget oversight, team travel, equipment, housing, on-campus recruiting, camps, and facility management.
Flaum also worked seven years alongside head coach Tricia Cullop at the University of Toledo, contributing to all facets of program administration—including budget management, recruiting operations, academics, compliance, fundraising, and video coordination.
Flaum is a 2009 graduate of Eastern Michigan University, where she later earned a master’s degree in sport management. She also holds a certificate in Higher Education Compliance from the University of Toledo College of Law.
