At Miami
Dhahabu made her way into the UM starting lineup in 2004-05, nearly doubling her production in almost every statistical category and should continue to improve heading into her junior year…One of the most athletic players on the UM roster who continues to get better both offensively and defensively in the low post.
2004-05 (Sophomore)
Started 18-of-29 games played and was one of only five players to see action in every game…Averaged a personal-best 5.6 points per game and 5.0 rebounds per game…Set career marks in every category in 2004-05…Scored in double figures six times…Ranked second on the team in rebounding (5.0 rpg)…Finished third on the team in field goal percentage (.412) hitting 70-of-170 from the floor and third on the team in field goals made (70)…Scored a career-high 18 points against Maryland (2/17)…Posted her first career double-double with 13 points and a career-best 12 rebounds against Clemson (1/31)…Put together an impressive three game stretch against Virginia (2/10), NC State (2/14) and Maryland (2/17) in which she averaged 14.3 points and 5.6 rebounds per game…Recorded a career-best three blocks twice, once against Wake Forest (1/13) and then again against Maryland (2/17).
2003-04 (Freshman)
Saw action in 21 games as a true freshman…Averaged 3.0 points and 2.2 rebounds per game…Averaged more than half as many minutes (9.7) and played in more than twice as many games (21) than any other freshman on the team…Pulled down a season-high seven rebounds and scored 10 points against Morehead State (11/22) at the Morehead State Tourism Commission Tip-Off Classic in Morehead, Ky. in her collegiate debut…Had a career-day against St. John’s (1/3) scoring a personal-best 12 points, including 10 in the first half, while hitting 6-of-8 from the floor.
Prior to Miami
A standout at Salesian High School, she averaged 16.2 points as a senior with the Chieftains…Was ranked the No. 26 post player and the No. 53 senior in the country by the All-Star Girls Report and Bull Star Recruiting Service, respectively…Was a member of the USA Youth Development Festival West Team…Named to Street and Smith’s Honorable Mention All-America team in 2002.
