2002 (FRESHMAN): Saw plenty of action on special teams, in addition to playing in several games as a backup middle linebacker…credited with 14 tackles (nine solos)…had a season-high four tackles against Rutgers…made three tackles against Pittsburgh…had two tackles against both Syracuse and Connecticut…had one stop against Boston College, West Virginia and Virginia Tech.

2001 (REDSHIRT): Sat out the 2001 season with a redshirt and played on the Hurricanes’ scout team.

HIGH SCHOOL: Brooklyn Canarsie…dubbed by one publication as the best college football prospect in the New York City area in 25 years…Parade All-American…USA Today first-team All-American…Gatorade Player of the Year for the state of New York…recorded 98 tackles, 12 quarterback sacks, recovered four fumbles and intercepted three passes as a senior in 2000…played tight end during his junior season, catching 20 passes for 219 yards and three touchdowns…SuperPrep All-American and a member of SuperPrep’s Elite 50 top national prospects…No. 27 prospect overall, regardless of position, in the nation by SuperPrep…No. 1 prospect overall in the state of New York by SuperPrep…timed at 4.55 in the 40-yard dash…coached by Mike Camardese.
