2002 (SENIOR): Made three tackles (two solos)…had two stops (one unassisted) against Virginia Tech…suffered a concussion while on kickoff coverage at Rutgers and missed the Tennessee game…made one solo tackle against West Virginia…suffered a wrist injury during two-a-days and missed the first five games of the season.
2001 (JUNIOR): Played in 10 games as a backup defensive back…made six tackles (four unassisted), one tackle for a loss (eight yards), recovered a fumble, intercepted a pass, and broke up a pass…played in every game except Miami’s win over Virginia Tech… made a season-high two tackles in a 45-3 win over West Virginia… made one tackle in games against Pittsburgh, Troy State, Temple and Syracuse.
2000 (SOPHOMORE): Played in 10 games, mainly as a special teams player and a reserve cornerback…had a season-high three tackles in the 42-31 win over Louisiana Tech…broke up three passes and had two interceptions in the Louisiana Tech game…intercepted two passes and racked up 11 tackles (seven solos) along with five passes broken up during the regular season…scored on a seven-yard run against Rutgers, put into the lineup at tailback with the game out of reach…also had a 29-yard pass interception return against Rutgers…missed the Syracuse game with an illness, but returned for the season finale against Boston College.
1999 (FRESHMAN): Played in 11 games…totaled seven tackles… became the third-team tailback at midseason following injuries to Najeh Davenport and James Jackson…had six carries for six yards…registered a career-high three tackles and recovered a fumble against Florida A&M in the home opener…recorded two stops in the Hurricanes’ victory over Temple…took his first career carry for a seven-yard touchdown run against Pittsburgh.
1998 (REDSHIRT): One of 15 members of the 1998 recruiting class to redshirt.
HIGH SCHOOL: Crescent City…named third-team All-State…selected to All-County and All-Tri County teams…played both offense and defense as a senior…as a receiver, caught 24 passes for 425 yards and 10 touchdowns…as a strong safety, tallied 112 tackles with four interceptions and caused two fumbles…as a punt returner, had six returns for 122 yards and ran back one for a 75-yard score…recorded two 100-yard plus-receiving games during senior season…recorded 21 tackles in one game against Wildwood High School…also lettered in basketball and track & field…broke school record for rebounding and holds all receiving records in football…anchored state champion 4×100 relay team…was an All-County selection in basketball…named the District VI Player of the Year…was an All-County pick for football and basketball as a junior…coached by Gordon Roberts.
