2009 (JUNIOR): Tied for fifth on UM’s defense with 6.0 tackles for a loss … Played in 11 games (DNP vs. Florida A&M) … Garnered six starts on the year (including five of the last six regular season games) … Tallied a career-high 2.0 tackles for a loss in win over eventual ACC Champion Georgia Tech … Recorded sacks in wins over Georgia Tech, Virginia and USF … Had a quarterback hurry against Florida State and at UCF … Tallied a season-high three tackles against Clemson and at USF.

2008 (SOPHOMORE): Started 11 of 13 games at defensive end – nine at left end and two games at right end … Recorded 21 tackles (10 solo, 11 assisted) … Had a career-high four tackles against North Carolina … Also had three tackles for loss on the season … Tallied seven tackles (one solo, seven assisted) in win over Virginia Tech … Posted six tackles (four solo, two assisted) against North Carolina.

2007 (REDSHIRT FRESHMAN): Played in nine games and recorded six tackles – one tackle for loss while playing at defensive end … Played on special teams against Marshall, Oklahoma, FIU, Georgia Tech, NC State, Virginia, Virginia Tech and Boston College … Against Marshall, saw action as a reserve defensive end in the fourth quarter (five plays, one tackle for loss, one assist and one QB pressure) … Against Texas A&M, saw action on the final drive of the game (five plays, one assisted tackle) … Against NC State, played on special teams and in the rotation at left defensive end, making one assisted tackle … At Virginia Tech, saw reserve action at defensive end, making three assisted tackles.

2006 (REDSHIRT): Redshirted as a freshman.

HIGH SCHOOL: Was a three-year starter in high school, playing both offense and defense…As a senior in 2005, made 70 tackles (seven for losses), six sacks and one interception…Also played tight end and made 10 receptions for 120 yards and two touchdowns…Received rare honor of being selected first-team Florida Athletic Coaches Association All-District at both tight end and defensive end…Selected the 3A County Player of the Year and team Most Valuable Player…As a junior in 2004, had 63 tackles, six sacks and one interception on defense, and six catches for 107 yards and a touchdown on offense…Rated the No. 15 defensive end in the country by Rivals.com (and 66th overall player in the state) and the No. 30 defensive end by Scout.com…Rated No. 38 at his position by ESPN, and No. 34 by Collegefootballnews.com…Ranked the No. 1 defensive end on the Florida Times-Union Super 75…Chose Miami over Ohio State, Mississippi and Alabama.
