At Miami

Lee is an excellent all-around player. If he has a fault, it is that he does not shoot often enough. Though his two-year field goal shooting percentage is approximately .500, his scoring average over that period is under six points.

As a Junior (1961-62)

His best scoring games were against Florida State and Tampa when he caged six field goals against each club on the road… His 12-point tallies were in games in which his mates were “cold” from the floor.

As a Sophomore (1960-61)

 Woods snagged 15 rebounds in a game against Rollins at Winter Park… He equaled that total twice last season, once against Miami of Ohio in the “Hurricane Classic” and also against Florida Southern College… He can play center, also and may understudy McCoy.
