2018 Cross Country: Debuted for the Canes at FAU Invitational with a time of 16:10.44… Represented Miami at the UCF Invitational with a time of 29:26.8… Competed in Florida’s Mountain Dew Invitational with a time of 27:48 and recorded season-high in the 8K…Recorded a time of 29:15.42 at the USF Invitational in the 8K… Closed out his freshman cross country campaign with a time of 27:56.7 in the ACC Championship’s 8K. 

High School: Was the Salutatorian of his high school class, President of the high school’s science National Honor Society… Was a four-year cross country and track athlete… Has personal-best time of 1:52.85 in the 800m, 4:20.06 in the 1600m, 9:31.71 in the 3200m and 16:04.90 in the 5K, all set in 2018… Was the FHSAA 3A 800 State Runner Up in 2018, 800 Allstate in 2016 and 2017, named to the 1600 Allstate in 2018 and finished fourth in the cross country state finals in 2018… Holds the high school record in the 800m set in 2015, the 5K set in 2016, the 3200 set in 2016 and the 1600m set in 2017… Was part of his high school’s 4x400m record-setting team and the 2017 4x800m record-setting team. 

Personal: Son of Doug Hasell and Thuy Pham… Has two siblings, brother Will Hasell (18) and sister Grace Hasell (21)… Grace will graduate at the University of Miami in 2019 and Will will graduate from the University of Florida in 2022…
