As a Junior (1996-97): Dressed for only two games and saw action in one contest… missed the first six games and the final 21 due to a recurring right hamstring injury that originally occurred in the spring of 1996… was scoreless in two minutes against Jacksonville.
As a Sophomore (1995-96): Saw action in eight games… had a career-high two points, on his first career field goal, in two minutes against Florida A&M… played a season-high three minutes against both Northeastern Illinois and Rutgers… recorded his first career rebound in the season-opener against Northeastern Illinois and first career assist against Florida Atlantic… was hospitalized on Jan. 12 in Landover, MD with a stomach ailment which caused him to miss three games.
As a Freshman (1995-95): Appeared in three contests… was a co-recipient of the team’s Most Courageous Player Award at the post season banquet… made his collegiate debut against Villanova and totaled one point in four minutes… was scoreless in one minute at Syracuse and versus Georgetown in the BIG EAST Tournament… missed four games from due to an infected right big toe and was hospitalized for six days.
High School: Albuquerque Academy in Albuquerque, NM… earned first-team all-state honors in both his junior and senior years… averaged 22 points, six assists an four rebounds as a senior while leading his team to its fifth straight state championship… was named MVP of the state tournament as a senior… garnered New Mexico Player of the Week honors on two occasions… lettered three years in basketball, three years in track and two seasons in cross country… was the state long jump champion in 1993… coached in basketball by Mike Brown.
