UM Hall of Famer McClinton to Benefit Allen Family with 3-Point Contest

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami basketball legend and 2022 Hall of Fame inductee Jack McClinton will compete in a three-point contest during halftime of Saturday’s Miami men’s basketball game against Louisville game in support of Marcus Allen’s fight against non-Hodgkin lymphoma.

The contest will run in a similar style as the NBA All-Star contest, consisting of five ball racks along the three-point line with a 90-second timer. For each shot made, $100 will be donated to Allen’s GoFundMe from McClinton and friends.

McClinton’s goal of the contest is to raise awareness and provide support to Allen and his family.

A lethal 3-point shooter, McClinton ranks second in ACC history in 3-point field goal percentage at 44% and was a back-to-back All-ACC First Team selection during his time as a Hurricane.

Tickets for Saturday’s regular season finale are still available and can be purchased online at www.miamihurricanes.com/tickets.
