Miami Comes Up Short to Louisville, 4-3
LOUISVILLE, Ky. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team (7-4, 0-1 ACC) fell, 4-3, against the Louisville Cardinals (10-4, 1-0 ACC) on Friday night at the Bass-Rudd Tennis Center.
The Cardinals won the first doubles court on three, as Hamza El Amine and Pedro Cressoni defeated UM’s Nacho Serra Sanchez and Saud Alhogbani, 6-1.
Miami followed it up with two wins to secure the doubles point. On court two, Jules Garot and Rafael Segado took down Matei Onofrei and Russell Lokko, 7-5, before Jakub Kroslak and Antonio Prat clinch the opening point, 7-6 (5) over Walid Ahouda and Andre Steinbach.
The Hurricanes started strong in singles, Serra Sanchez dominated on court two, 6-0, 6-1 over El Amine, while Garot also finished with a stellar 6-1, 6-2 performance against Lokko to go up 3-1.
Louisville notched wins on court one, three, four and five to secure the comeback win and prevail, 4-3.
