M. Tennis Wraps Up ITA All-American Championships

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s tennis team concluded play at the ITA All-American Championships in Tulsa, Okla.

Senior Nacho Serra Sanchez picked up two wins in the prequalifying draw but narrowly fell short of the qualifying draw. Antonio Prat started his time in the qualifying draw, claiming a ranked win before falling in the second round.

Four more Hurricanes competed in the prequalifying draw, Mehdi Sadaoui, Saud Alhogbani, Jakub Kroslak and Rafa Segado, but dropped their first round matches. Kroslak and Segado ended up claiming a win in the consolation round to start the fall splitting their matches.

In doubles, Sadaoui and Alhogbani paired up and Serra Sanchez partnered with Segado for prequalifying doubles, while No. 69 Prat and Kroslak teamed up in qualifying. Despite their efforts, Miami did not claim a doubles win over the weekend.

The Hurricanes will head to Tallahassee, Fla., for the Bedford Cup Sept. 26-28, hosted by Florida State.
