
Hurricanes Shut Out Louisville, 4-0
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The No. 33 University of Miami men’s tennis team (12-8, 5-6) shut out the Louisville Cardinals (9-16, 1-10) on Thursday afternoon at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
The Hurricanes prevailed for the doubles point and dominated on three straight courts for the sweep.
On court two, Nacho Serra Sanchez and Leonardo Dal Boni earned the ranked 6-3 over No. 77 Natan Rodrigues and Hamza El Amine but fell on court three from Jules Garot and Mehdi Sadaoui, 6-3, to Will Mayew and Miguel Avendano. Down to court one, Miami came out victorious with a 7-5 battle from No. 72 Martin Katz and Antonio Prat over Kosuke Nakanishi and Andre Steinbach.
Miami struck first in singles as Sanchez took court three, 6-2, 6-2, over Steinbach, while No. 24 Katz dominated Rodrigues, 6-1, 6-2, at the top court to extend the lead. Dal Boni then clinched the win with a 6-2, 6-3 victory against Nakanishi on court five.
The Hurricanes will stay home to host Notre Dame for the final home match on April 5.
