RALEIGH, N.C. – The No. 34 University of Miami men’s tennis team (8-6, 2-4) fell, 4-0, to the No. 5 NC State Wolfpack (14-4, 6-0) on Sunday afternoon.

The Hurricanes dropped the doubles point and fell short in singles to end their road slate.

On court two, Nacho Serra Sanchez and Leonardo Dal Boni fell 6-2 to No. 12 Jules Leroux and Luca Staeheli, followed by Martin Katz and Antonio Prat dropping the top court, 6-2, to No. 8 Braden Shick and Fons Van Sambeek.

Katz, ranked No. 42, was first to fall against No. 24 Shick, 6-3, 6-4, at the top court, before NC State’s Sambeek took court four over Mehdi Sadaoui, 6-3, 6-2. Sanchez then dropped court three to No. 55 Staheli, 6-4, 6-3, to end the match.

Miami will return home to host Colgate in non-conference matchup on March 18.
