
Hurricanes Fall To No. 1 Wake Forest
WINSTON-SALEM, N.C. – The No. 34 University of Miami men’s tennis team (8-5, 2-3) dropped its first match of the weekend, 4-0, to the No. 1 Wake Forest Demon Deacons (22-0, 5-0) on Friday evening.
The Hurricanes dropped the doubles point and fell short in singles to start their time in North Carolina.
On court two, Nacho Serra Sanchez fell 6-1 to No. 6 Luciano Tacchi and Luca Pow, followed by Martin Katz and Antonio Prat dropping the top court, 6-3, to No. 5 Stefan Dostanic and DK Suresh.
Dal Boni was first to fall against Pow, 6-2, 6-2, on court five, before Wake’s Tacchi took court four over Mehdi Sadaoui, 6-2, 6-1. Sanchez then dropped court three to No. 65 Ioannis Xilas, 6-2, 6-2, to finalize the match.
Miami will travel to No. 5 NC State on March 16 to wrap up their road slate.
