
Miami Sweeps Boston College, 4-0
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The No. 30 University of Miami men’s tennis team (7-2) started conference season undefeated after a 4-0 sweep against the Boston College Eagles (2-3) at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center on Sunday afternoon.
The Hurricanes clinched their eighth doubles point of the year, before dominating on three consecutive courts to take the team win.
Senior Martin Katz and junior Antonio Prat earned a quick 6-1 score over Aidan Pack and Jake Vassel at the top court, before junior Nacho Serra Sanchez and sophomore Leonardo Dal Boni clinched the opening point, 6-4, on court two against Liam O’Leary and Caleb Saltz.
Prat dominated on court two against Vassel, 6-1, 6-1, immediately followed by a 6-2, 6-2 victory from No. 48 Katz over Saltz at the top court.
Serra Sanchez then clinched the sweep for Miami after an impressive 6-2, 6-2 win over Ilie on court three.
The Hurricanes are back on Tuesday, March 4 to host South Alabama at the Neil Schiff Tennis Center.
