Miami Adds Aely Arai For 2024-25
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami women’s tennis head coach Paige Yaroshuk-Tews announced Friday the addition of Aeyl Arai for the 2024-25 season.
From Osaka, Japan, Arai earned career-high ITF junior singles and doubles ranking of 364. She comes to Miami with the 2022 J4 Miki City singles title.
In 2022 alone, Arai reached the third round or better in five tournaments throughout the year.
“The reason I decided to go to Miami is to place myself in an environment full of motivated players in the hopes to become stronger as a tennis player and also as a person in an educational environment filled with opportunities,” said Arai.
The Hurricanes are coming off their 20th consecutive top-25 finish after ending the year ranked No. 16 in the ITA National Rankings.
Miami will be back in action in January for the spring season. The full schedule will be released at a later time.
