Flory Adds Another Gold Medal to His Collection
GREENSBORO, N.C. – The University of Miami swimming and diving team returned to action for Day Three of the 2023 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships on Thursday at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
The top performance of the day came from veteran diver and Fairfax, Va., native, Max Flory.
Flory, the defending ACC champion in the men’s 3-meter dive, secured the first-place finish for the second straight year, this time with a score of 456.20. Earlier in the week, Flory also won the gold in the men’s 1-meter dive.
After the preliminary rounds on Thursday morning, two of Miami’s swimmers earned spots in the finals on Thursday evening.
Veteran swimmer Adrianna Cera competed in the 200-yard freestyle finals, earning 22nd place with a time of 1:47.81 in the C final.
Giulia Carvalho placed 24th in the field during the C final of the 100-yard butterfly with a NCAA B cut time of 53.51.
The Hurricanes swimming and diving team returns to action on Friday morning for Day Four of the 2023 ACC Swimming and Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center.
