Guseva Caps First NCAA Championship Appearance

SCOTTSDALE, Ariz. – University of Miami golfer Nataliya Guseva capped her outstanding freshman campaign, finishing 18-over par at the NCAA Women’s Golf Championship.

Competing at the Par-72, 6,384-yard Grayhawk Golf Club, Guseva collected a birdie and finished seven-over-par in Sunday’s final 18 holes, to finish tied for 114th.

Overall, the ACC Freshman of the Year secured 14 par or better rounds out of 21 in her first semester on campus, while ending the season with a 72.38 scoring average. The mark is the fifth best in program history.

The Moscow native tallied four birdies over the three-day event, in addition to scoring an eagle in the opening round.
