Golf Earns Eighth Straight NCAA Regional Bid

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami golf team was selected to compete in the NCAA Baton Rouge Regional on Wednesday. The 54-hole regional runs May 10-12 at the Louisiana University Club in Baton Rouge, La., hosted by LSU.

Miami earned its eighth straight berth into an NCAA Regional and will be seeking its first trip to the NCAA Championships since 2017. The Canes are attempting to advance to the NCAA Championships for the 26th time in program history.

The Hurricanes are an at-large selection into the tournament and the ninth seed in the regional. The challenging regional features 10 of the top 40-ranked teams in the nation: LSU (4), Ole Miss (5), Oregon (12), Baylor (15), Maryland (19), Alabama (20), Houston (24), Oregon State (29), North Texas (32) and Miami (37).

There are four regionals (Baton Rouge, La.; Columbus, Ohio; Simpsonville, Ky.; Stanford, Calif.) with each featuring 18 teams and six individuals. The top six teams and top three individuals not on those teams will advance to the NCAA Championships May 21-26 at Grayhawk Golf Club in Scottsdale, Ariz.
