Barr, Sundstrand Deliver on Day 3
GREENSBORO, N.C. — Two freshman swimmers were among the University of Miami’s top performers on Day 3 of the 2021 ACC Swimming & Diving Championships at the Greensboro Aquatic Center Friday night.
Freshman Emma Sundstrand qualified for the ‘B’ final of the 100-yard breaststroke, finishing with a time of 1:01.25 in the finals for an NCAA ‘B’ cut.
Fellow freshman Savannah Barr also delivered for the Hurricanes on Day 3 of the ACC Championships.
The freshman, who came through with a standout performance on Wednesday night with a top split in the 800-yard freestyle, was fifth in the ‘B’ final of the 200-yard freestyle with a time of 1:47.89.
Second-year diver Jessie Creed also scored major points for the Hurricanes by qualifying for the final of the women’s platform.
Creed, who also made the finals of the 1-meter springboard earlier in the week, took seventh in the night’s finals with a score of 260.70.
