Golf Wraps up Day One of the Hurricane Invitational

CORAL GABLES, Fla. –For the first time in two seasons, the University of Miami golf team returned the Biltmore Hotel and Golf Course for tournament action.
 
Competing at the par 72, 6,100-yard Coral Gables course through two rounds of competition on Monday, the Hurricanes enter the final round of action in seventh at 23-over, 599.
 
Through 36, the Hurricanes are paced by sophomore Anna Backman and junior Kristyna Frydlova, as the duo both enter the final round tied for 13th at four-over 148.
 
Following closely behind, Miami’s pair of Norwegian native’s, freshman Franziska Sliper (seven-over-par) and senior Renate Grimstad (eight-over-par), sit In a tie for 26th and 29th, respectively.
 
Rounding out the Hurricanes’ lineup, senior Macarena Aguilera enters the final round tied for 34th at nine-over 153, while freshmen Daniella Barrett and Morgan Pankow enter Tuesday 17-over and 19-over, respectively.
 
The third round will open with a shotgun start Tuesday at 8 a.m., with the Hurricane’s pairing up alongside competitors from Texas State and No. 28 Oklahoma.
