58 Student-Athletes Earn Degrees from UM

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Fifty-eight student-athletes earned degrees from the University of Miami in 2019 Spring Commencement exercises, which took place Thursday and Friday at the Watsco Center on the UM campus in Coral Gables. The student-athletes are among the more than 3,500 University of Miami undergraduate and graduate students who earned their degrees during the spring ceremonies.
 
Graduates from all of the University of Miami’s schools and colleges were recognized by name and walked across the stage to be congratulated by University President Julio Frenk and their respective academic dean.
 
Thirteen of Miami’s athletics programs were represented in the graduation ceremonies. The football team led all programs with 15 graduates, while the women’s track and field program had nine graduates.
 
UM’s impressive list of spring student-athlete graduates includes academic standouts, All-Americans, All-Atlantic Coast Conference selections and program-record holders.

Miami’s career (54.9) and single-season (58.6) field goal percentage record holder
WBCA Coaches’ All-America Team Honorable Mention in 2018-19

Seven-time NCAA All-American (four-time in 1-meter, three-time in 3-meter)
Six-time ACC champion (three times in both 1-meter and 3-meter)

39th 1,000-point scorer in program history (finished 34th in career scoring at UM with 1,043 points)
Fifth in career games played at Miami with 130
Ninth in career steals at UM with 141

Two-time AVCA All-America Honorable Mention
Two-time AVCA All-Region honoree
Four-time All-ACC honoree
