CORAL GABLES, Fla. – After a one-week hiatus, the University of Miami is back in the top 25 of the USA TODAY Coaches Poll.

Miami (14-3, 2-0) checks in at No. 23 on the list, as announced Tuesday afternoon, a four-position increase from the Dec. 31 poll.

The Hurricanes won both of their games last week to begin ACC play, first notching a 68-61 triumph Thursday over previously undefeated Virginia Tech, then ranked No. 25 in the Coaches Poll. Miami followed that with a 72-57 road win Sunday over Wake Forest.

Katie Meier‘s team amassed 83 points in this week’s Coaches Poll balloting, a 53-point improvement from the last release. The full poll can be found HERE.

Meanwhile, Miami just missed reentering the Associated Press Poll, earning the top spot in the receiving votes section to place No. 26, as revealed Monday.

The Hurricanes, who peaked at No. 19 in the balloting, tallied 44 points in the voting, a 21-point uptick from last week. The entire poll is available HERE.

Six ACC teams are ranked in at least one poll, with Notre Dame and Louisville holding the top two spots on both lists, respectively. NC State and Syracuse are ranked eight and No. 12, respectively, in both polls, while Florida State comes in at No. 22 in the AP Poll and no. 18 in the Coaches Poll. Virginia Tech is receiving votes from both groups.

The Hurricanes will be back in action Thursday, as they host Clemson at 11 a.m. on elementary school day at the Watsco Center.
