Miami Volleyball Faces No. 24 Louisville
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball program returns to the road for five of its remaining six matches of the season. The Hurricanes are set to face No. 24 Louisville on Friday night at 7 p.m. at the Cardinal Arena and Notre Dame on Sunday at 1 p.m. at Purcell Pavillion.

Miami (13-6, 9-3 ACC) gets back on the road after hosting four matches in eight days, finishing the homestand with two straight wins, including a 3-2 win against Florida State and a sweep over Virginia Tech.
The Canes’ offense continues to improve, as UM is the fourth-most efficient team in the ACC in hitting percentage with a .254. The team posted a season-high .467 attack percentage against the Hokies last weekend, giving the Canes their sixth sweep of the year.
Redshirt senior setter Haley Templeton leads both Miami and the ACC with 0.41 aces per set. Templeton registered five aces against Virginia Tech and has totaled 28 after 19 matches. Miami paces the league with 1.59 aces per set.
Elizaveta Lukianova and Bridget Wallenberger have led the Canes offense recently and the numbers prove it. The pair hold top 10 attack percentages in the ACC heading into the weekend with Wallenberger’s .343 sitting at No. 8 and Lukianova’s .331 at No. 10.
Wallenberger also leads the Canes with 80 total blocks and averages 1.18 per set, the eighth-best average in the ACC. Wallenberger recorded seven block assists in her first match against the Seminoles, with Miami holding Florida State to a .174 attack percentage.
The Hurricanes face their second ranked opponent this season, after traveling to then-No. 8 Pitt, when they face the No. 24 Cardinals. Louisville suffered its first home ACC loss in two seasons last Sunday to Syracuse, falling 3-2. Louisville owns a 17-6 overall record (10-2 ACC), sitting second in the ACC.
Cardinals’ middle blocker Jasmine Bennett ranks second in the ACC with a .404 attack percentage with 145 kills and senior setter Wilma Rivera paces the ACC with 11.2 assists per set.
Following Friday’s match, the Canes travel to Notre Dame on Sunday for a match at 12 p.m. The Irish are currently sixth in conference with a 14-8 (8-4 ACC) record. Notre Dame’s defense holds opposing offenses to a league-low .155 attack percentage.
