Heredia Colon Earns ACC Weekly Honor
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami junior Flormarie Heredia Colon has been named the Atlantic Coast Conference Co-Offensive Player of the Week, as announced Monday by the league office.
Heredia Colon had another dominant weekend after leading the team with 39 total kills, four service aces, 20 digs and four blocks between NC State and Wake Forest.
The Santo Domingo, Dominican Republic native started the week with 20 kills and nine digs before recording a double-double against Wake Forest with 19 kills and 11 digs, along with three aces and three blocks.
She continues to lead the ACC in total kills (367), is second in total points (420.0), second in points per set (4.57) and second in kills per set (3.99).
The Hurricanes will travel to SMU and Pitt on Nov. 15 and 17, respectively.
