Volleyball Returns to The Knight for ACC Play
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball team is set to host Clemson and Georgia Tech in the first of four matches to be played in the next eight days at the Knight Sports Complex.

The Hurricanes welcome the Tigers on Friday at 7 p.m., after sweeping Boston College last weekend for the Canes second road ACC win. UM (10-5, 6-2 ACC) looks to remain undefeated at home in conference play having defeated Wake Forest, Duke, UNC and NC State.
Miami’s outside hitters Kolby Bird and Elizaveta Lukianova look to record 10 or more kills for the sixth straight match on Friday night. Lukianova’s been electric on the court for the Canes with 170 kills this season and a .322 attack percentage.
Lukianova continues to use her 6-foot-6-inch frame to her advantage recording 34 blocks this season, including a season high two solo blocks in the Canes sweep over Boston College.
UM paces the ACC with 1.64 aces per set after tallying six aces against Boston College. Setter Haley Templeton leads the Canes with 20 aces and is second in the conference averaging 0.38 aces per set, while both Bridget Wallenberger and Priscilla Hernandez recorded two apiece Miami’s last time out.
Wallenberger sits eighth in the ACC at 1.17 blocks per set and has led the Canes all season in the category. The middle blocker has recorded 62 blocks after 15 matches.
Clemson travels south to Coral Gables with a 10-11 overall record and a 1-7 ACC mark. The Tigers picked up their lone conference win at home in a 3-0 sweep of Virginia Tech. Sophomore outside hitter Alyssa Deloney leads Clemson and sits fifth in the ACC with a .382 attack percentage while redshirt sophomore Brooke Bailey leads the team with 243 kills.
Bailey and Miami setter Templeton were both members of USA Volleyball’s Collegiate National Team over the summer in Detroit. The pair were also joined by Clemson’s outside hitter, Kaylin Korte.
Following Friday’s match, the Canes will host Georgia Tech on Sunday at 1 p.m. The Yellow Jackets travel to Tallahassee, Fla., for their Friday match with a 13-8 record. The Canes lead the series 15-9, having won the last eight of 10 matches, including last season’s 3-2 road win.

The University of Miami – Coral Gables Campus has introduced an updated parking policy for the 2018-19 school year. Enforcement is now extended to seven days a week, 8 a.m. to 11 p.m. PayByPhone and additional pay stations are available across all campus parking lots and garages to facilitate visitor parking.
