Miami to Play Yale in Hoophall Miami Invitational
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami men’s basketball team will play Yale on Saturday, Dec. 1 in the fourth annual Hoophall Miami Invitational at AmericanAirlines Arena in downtown Miami. The event is run by the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame.
The one-day quadruple-header event will feature Miami vs. Yale, Georgia Tech vs. St. John’s, NC State vs. Vanderbilt and Texas Tech vs. Memphis. ESPN has partnered to televise the event, with game times and network information to be released at a later date.

This is the third straight year that Miami will compete in the Hoophall Invitational. The Canes topped Wofford, 74-57, in the 2016 edition and scored an 80-52 win over Princeton in 2017.
Miami has not played Yale since the 1986 season, earning a 78-75 overtime win in the Palm Beach Hurricane Classic. The Canes hold a 4-2 series edge.
Leading up to the Hoophall Miami Invitational, the Naismith Memorial Basketball Hall of Fame will host several community events and social functions including a basketball skills clinic at Overtown Youth Center and a high school basketball showcase at AmericanAirlines Arena.
