@HurricanesGolf Inks Frydlova to NLI
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s golf team announced Tuesday that high school and international amateur standout Kristyna Frydlova has signed a National Letter of Intent to continue her academic and athletic endeavors, beginning in the fall of 2017.
Frydlova will bring an extensive amount of international experience to Coral Gables next fall. Over the past four years, the Czech Republic native has competed in 49 career international events. She currently stands No. 129 in the World Amateur Golf Rankings.
“Kristyna will be a tremendous edition to our team next fall,” Miami head coach Patti Rizzo said. “Kristyna has played and excelled in numerous international tournaments and I know that she has what it takes to be successful at this level.”
Frydlova arrives in Coral Gables after winning the Czech International Junior Under 18 Championship in 2013 and 2015.
Later on that year in 2015, Frydlova took fourth at the European Girls Team Championship and finish in the top 30 at the European Ladies Championship.
In 2016, Frydlova took runner-up honors at the Czech International Ladies Championship.
Frydlova will join an already impressive group of recent international players in Macarenca Aguilera, Renate Grimstad, Filippa Moork and Dewi Weber who have made an immediate impact for the Hurricanes this season.
