FRS Signs On As Official Partner of Miami Athletics
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – In coordination with Learfield Sports’ Hurricane Sports properties, FRS, a company with more than 75 years’ experience operating routes using ferries and fast crafts across the globe, has agreed to an official partnership with Miami Athletics.
FRS is a worldwide ferry group with operations in 12 countries and a fleet of 62 vessels.
“Despite our size and reach, we are a new brand in Miami,” said FRS CEO Andreas Dunker. “We started our operations in September connecting Miami with Bimini and the Bahamas, and are convinced that our partnership with UM will be an excellent link to the community.”
The FRS fleet ranges from water taxis to modern ferries and catamarans. For more than a decade, FRS has focused its efforts on internationalization, transforming itself from a regional ferry operator to an active business group with 13 branch offices spread across the globe, offering ferry services for vehicles and passengers, excursions, freight divisions and even regional bus routes.
“We are looking forward to a long term cooperation with and participation in UM day by day activities,” Dunker said. “I would like to thank Miami Athletics and Hurricane Sports Properties for the commitment and opportunity and to offer our continued support in future UM ventures.”
In addition to Miami, Learfield Sports manages the multimedia rights and sponsorships for more than 120 collegiate institutions and associations, and titles the prestigious Learfield Sports Directors’ Cup. Learfield represents collegiate institutions, conferences and arenas for their respective multimedia rights and sponsorship initiatives, and offers these partners with professional concessions and ticket sales, licensing and trademark consulting, digital platform expertise and venue and technology systems through its owned companies.
