Weber Selected to the Global Golf Post All-Amateur Squad
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami sophomore golfer Dewi Weber received Honorable Mention recognition on the fourth annual Global Golf Post All-Amateur team earlier this week.
Weber was one of 31 female amateur golfers in the world recognized by the publication.
Weber was named to the team following a memorable 2015-16 campaign where she competed in 33 rounds and posted an ACC-best scoring average of 70.6 strokes per round.
The Netherlands native closed out freshman year on a high note, as she posted three top five finishes in her final five collegiate tournaments from the 2015-16 season, including a national runner-up finish at the NCAA Championship.
Following her freshman year at The U, continued her strong play into the summer month where she captured tournament titles in the Dutch National Stroke Play Championship and the Dutch Brabants Open.
In addition, Weber took runner-up honors at the Ladies’ British Open Amateur Championship.
Through three tournaments this fall, Weber has posted three top-10 finishes, including two winning performances. Her 69.44 scoring average currently ranks third in the NCAA and second in the .
