@HurricanesGolf Wraps Up Fall Season at the Betsy Rawls Invitational
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The ninth-ranked University of Miamiwomen’s golf team will make its second straight trip to the Lone Star State as it competes in the 2016 Betsy Rawls Invitational in Austin, Texas, beginning on Monday.
THE WORD ON THE CANES
-Miami enters the Betsy Rawls Invitational as the field’s highest ranked team in the Golfstat NCAA rankings (No. 9).
-Miami is in search of its third straight top-three finish this fall.
-The Hurricanes return to action following a third-place finish at the 2016 Jim West Invitational in Houston, Texas, back on Oct. 10.
-Miami posted a school record single round score (271) in the final round of the Jim West Invitational.
-Miami opened the year by winning the 2016 Fossum Invitational on Sept. 25 in East Lansing, Mich.
THE BASICS
-The par-72, 6,278-yard University of Texas Golf Club will play host to the two-day event.
-The tournament begins with a shotgun start at 9:30 a.m., on Monday with 36 holes and wraps up on Monday with the final round beginning at 9:45 a.m.

LAST TIME OUT
The Hurricanes posted a school record, single-round team total of 271, in the final day of competition to propel Miami to a third-place finish at the 2016 Jim West Challenge on Oct. 10.
After posting scores of 290 and 292 in the first and second rounds, the Hurricanes caught fire in the third as they shot the best overall round of any team for the entire tournament (17-under-par) and would go on to finish 11-under-par.
Miami individuals posted 25 birdies over the course of the final round. In addition, four Hurricanes carded rounds under 70.
Sophomore Dewi Weber led the way for Hurricanes, as she finished a combined four-under-par (212) and tied for eighth. Weber saved her best for last, as she carded a five-under-par, 67.
Senior Delfina Acosta and sophomore Filippa Moork also turned in top-25 performances, as they tied for 15th and 20th, respectively. Acosta was consistent throughout the challenge, as she carded an overall score of 214 and finished two-under-par. Moork closed the tournament on a high note, as she posted a third round score of four-under-par, 68. She closed the two-day event with a score of 215.

-Tied for 15th at the Jim West Challenge.
-Opened the 2016-17 season by finishing third at the Fossum Invitational.

Macarena Aguilera
-Tied for 44th at the Fossum Invitational in her Miami debut.
-Will compete this week as an individual.

Daniela Darquea
-Finished sixth at the Fossum Invitational with a three-round total of 221.
-One of two seniors at this year’s roster.
-Named the 2016 ACC Scholar-Athlete of the Year.
Renate Grimstad
-Posted a season-low 69 in the final round of play at the Jim West Challenge.
-Tied for 22nd at the Fossum Invitational.
-One of three freshmen on this year’s roster.
Filippa Moork
-Tied for 20th at the Jim West Challenge.
-Finished fourth in her Miami debut at Fossum Invitational.
