Miami Releases 2015-16 Athletics Annual Report

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – With preseason practice for the 2016-17 campaign underway at the University of Miami, the department took one last look at the 2015-16 athletics season with the release of its annual report.

As a department, Miami had 11 programs qualify for postseason play and featured 31 All-Americans. In addition, Miami finished 40th out of 347 Division I institutions in the Learfield Directors’ Cup Standings – its highest since the 2002-03 season.

All 18 Miami Athletics programs scored at least 960 on the most recent NCAA Academic Progress Rate (APR) report, with three programs receiving APR Public Recognition Awards. 

Miami also had a record-setting 9,500-plus members to the Hurricane Club.

Additionally, the athletics department continued to invest in its student-athletes with the opening of a new athletics nutrition center in the Isadore Hecht Athletic Center.
