CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s golf team returns to the course on Monday to participate in the 2016 Wildcat Invitational.

The 54-hole event will be held at the par 72, 6,492-yard Sewailo Golf Club in Tucson, Ariz.

Dewi Weber
– Posted a career-best finish at the UCF Challenge as she placed fifth.
– Holds a scoring average of 72.88.
– Has two top 10 finishes this season.
 
Luiza Altmann
– Holds a scoring average of 74.66.
– Finished the Hurricane Invitational tied for 14th.
– Was not on the team this past fall.
 
Delfina Acosta
– Holds a season scoring average of 74.44.
– Posted a season-low score of 66 in the second round of the Dick McGuire Invitational.
– Scored a three-round total of 223 at the Hurricane Invitational.
 
Kailey Walsh
– Holds a scoring average of 75.93.
– Posted a three-round total of 219 at Hurricane Invitational.
– One of three seniors on the team.
 
RECAPPING LAST WEEK
The Miami women’s golf team concluded play at the 2016 Hurricane Invitational on March 2 and finished third.

The Hurricanes closed the tournament on a high note as it carded a final day score of seven-under-par, 277 to close out the event with a three-round total of 854.

Miami’s final day score was the second-lowest score in the tournament field and was the lowest score of any round the Hurricanes have played this year. Miami’s previous low score came in the third round of the Dick McGuire Invitational in Albuquerque, N.M., where it carded a team total of 288.
