Miami Set For Hurricane Invitational
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami women’s golf team returns to the course on Monday as it plays host in the Hurricane Invitational.
The 54-hole event will be held at the par 71, 6,061-yard Biltmore Golf Course in Coral Gables, Fla.

Daniela Darquea
– Started her spring season at the 2016 Allstate Intercollegiate.

– Posted a career best finish at the UCF Challenge, placing fifth.
– Owns a 73.24 scoring average.
Luiza Altmann
– Was not on the team this past fall.
– Began her season with the Hurricanes at the UCF Challenge.
– Holds a scoring average of 76.3.
Delfina Acosta
– Holds a season-low 66 in the second round of the Dick McGuire Invitational
– Owns a 74.82 scoring average.
– Finished the 2016 Allstate Intercollegiate with a three-round total of 230.
Kailey Walsh
– One of three seniors on the team.
– Holds a scoring average of 75.81.
– Finished the 2016 Allstate Intercollegiate with a three-round total of 228.
RECAPPING LAST WEEK
The University of Miami women’s golf team tied for eighth at the 2016 Allstate Sugar Bowl Intercollegiate after it tallied a three-round score of 887 last week.
The Hurricanes posted a third-round score of 294. The three-day event was held at the par 72, 6,239-yard English Turn Golf and Country Club.
Miami was led by junior Daniela Darquea, who began the day in 28th place. She then moved up nine spots to finish 19th after carding a one-under-par score of 71 to close out play.

The Hurricanes return to action on March 14 at the Wildcat Invitational in Tucson, Ariz.
