Miami Opens Play at NCAA Regional

ST. GEORGE, Utah – The No. 32-ranked University of Miami women’s golf team is tied for 14th with Colorado after one round at the 2015 NCAA St. George Regional.
 
The three-day event is being held at the par 71, 6,255-yard Entrada at Snow Canyon Golf Country Club.
 
The Hurricanes posted a team total of 316 and sit just 11 strokes back from sixth place. The top six schools from each of the four 18-team regional sites will advance to the NCAA Championship along with the top three individuals not advancing from a team from each site.
 
Senior Rika Park (Fujieda Shi-Shizouka, Japan) paced the Hurricanes after she fired a first round score of 78. Park is currently tied for 39th heading into round two.
 
USC leads all teams with an opening round tally of nine-over-par, 293. California’s Pauline Loulier leads all individuals after she shot an opening round score of three-under-par 68.
 
The Hurricanes begin second action tomorrow at 10:54 a.m. EST.
