Canes Open SMU Invite Tied for Seventh
DALLAS, Texas – The No. 27-ranked University of Miami women’s golf team is tied for seventh after two rounds of play at the 2015 SMU Invitational. The two-day event is being held at the par 72, 6,301-yard Dallas Athletic Club.
The Hurricanes posted a two-round total of 606, carding an opening round of 307 and a second round total of 299.
Senior Leticia Ras-Anderica (Moraira, Spain) led the way for the Hurricanes as she totaled a day one total of 150, firing rounds of 78 (round one) and 72 (round two), respectively.
Teammates Delfina Acosta (Nicanor Otamendi, Argentina) and Rika Park (Fujieda Shi-Shizouka, Japan) are tied for 28th and 32nd, respectively. Acosta posted a first day total of 151, while Park carded a 152 during day one.
No. 14-ranked Oklahoma State leads the tournament after it carded a two-round total of 579. Purdue’s Aurora Kan leads all individuals with a two round total of 141.
The Hurricanes will return to action tomorrow morning beginning at 8 a.m. with a shotgun start.
