Cross Country Shines at USF Invitational
TAMPA, Fla. – The University of Miami cross country program had three runners finish in the Top 10 of their respective races at the USF Invitational.
AJ Ricketts and Douglas Dourado placed fifth and seventh, respectively, in the men’s 8K, while Gabrielle Hesslau finished ninth in the women’s 5K. Miami’s men placed second with 50 points, while the women finsihed sixth with 168 points.
“I am pleased with the team’s effort and progress since last week,” Miami distance coach Damon Griffiths said. “AJ ran a great race today to lead the men. We had a nice pack and for Gabby to place 10th overall was impressive. She has been getting better each week.”
