Boggs Named Assistant Development Director

CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Dillon Boggs has been named as Assistant Director of Development for the Hurricane Club, announced Tuesday by the University of Miami.

Previously, Dillon served as Annual Giving Assistant for the Virginia Athletics Foundation at the University of Virginia. He helped oversee the membership and benefits program as well as supervise annual initiatives such as I Give 110%, “All-In” staff giving and student-athlete Thank-a-thons. Dillon also served as a direct contact for over 600 VAF donors.

“It is our pleasure to welcome Dillon Boggs to the University of Miami Athletics Development team,” said Associate AD for Development Jesse Marks. “Dillon comes us from Virginia where he served as an annual giving assistant. Dillon’s responsibilities at the Hurricane Club will be in a direct fundraising capacity.”

Prior to Virginia, Dillon worked for the K Fund at the University of Kentucky. His focus was on season seating/parking assignments for multiple sports as well as coordinating donor events, and game-day operations.

A native of Marietta, Ga., Boggs attended Gardner-Webb University and transferred to Georgetown College where he was a four-year letterwinner and Academic All-American for the Tigers. He graduated from Georgetown College in 2011 with a bachelor’s degree in business management.
