Miami Volleyball Releases 2013 Schedule
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami volleyball program has released its schedule for the 2013 season.
The Hurricanes will play in four tournaments and host 12 games as part of their 30-game regular season schedule. The 2013 season will be the Canes’ first under the tutelage of head coach Jose “Keno” Gandara.
Miami kicks off their season playing at the USF Tournament in Tampa, before flying across the country to play in the Bay Area Challenge, hosted by the University of San Francisco.
The Canes will host LSU in a two-day tournament Sept. 13-14 at the Knight Sports Complex on the UM campus.
Gandara and his team will finish their non-conference slate traveling to Norman, Okla., for a tournament featuring Nebraska-Omaha, Tulsa and the tourney host, Oklahoma.
Miami opens ACC play Sept. 28 at Boston College and will remain on the road, facing Syracuse (Sept. 29), Clemson (Oct. 4) and Georgia Tech (Oct. 5), before returning to Coral Gables to host Pittsburgh on Oct. 11 in the Canes’ first ACC home game of 2013.
Along with Pitt, the Canes will host Maryland (Oct. 13), NC State (Nov. 1), North Carolina (Nov. 3), Florida State (Nov. 13), Notre Dame (Nov. 15), Duke (Nov. 22), Wake Forest (Nov. 24), Georgia Tech (Nov. 27) and Clemson (Nov. 29).
