Miami Volleyball Hires Angus, Feliciano as Assistant Coaches
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – University of Miami volleyball head coach Jose “Keno” Gandara announced Friday the addition of Cinthia Angus and Naylani Feliciano as assistant coaches pending university background checks.
Angus recently served as the co-interim head coach at Cal State-Bakersfield for the 2025 season. Prior to Bakersfield, she was the assistant coach for both indoor and beach volleyball at St. Mary’s (CA) for three seasons, where she helped mentor three All-West Coast Conference beach selections. Angus previously served as an assistant coach at Loyola (MD) and Barry, where she helped the Buccaneers win two NCAA Division II national titles.
Angus, a native of Brazil, has previous head coaching experience at Snow (UT) Community College and Durham University in the United Kingdom. As a player, she was a starting outside hitter for two seasons at Utah, helping the Utes win the Mountain West title and advance to the Sweet 16 in 2008.
Feliciano played at Miami from 2022-25, starting all 33 matches as a senior while collecting 434 digs and earning ACC Defensive Player of the Week honors after posting a career-high 30 digs against North Carolina. Feliciano’s 128 sets played in 2025 tied a Miami single-season record. For her career she played in 124 matches and amassed more than 1,000 digs. Off the court, she was an All-ACC Academic honoree and ACC Top Six for Service Award winner.
A native of Plano, Texas, Feliciano graduated from UM this past spring.
