Rodriguez Named to Preseason All-ACC Team for Second Straight Season
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – Ariana Rodriguez landed a spot on the Preseason All-ACC Team for the second consecutive season, the conference announced Thursday.
Rodriguez posted an impressive 2025 campaign, earning multiple conference and national recognitions as well as sitting atop the nation statistically.
She was named All-ACC First Team, American Volleyball Coaches Association (AVCA) Southeast Region First Team and All-American Honorable Mention and earned four ACC weekly honors throughout the course of the season, including ACC Setter of the Week three weeks in a row, adding a Defensive Player of the Week honor in one of those weeks.
Rodriguez led the nation in aces with 77, sitting fourth overall nationally in aces per set (0.60), a mark that led the ACC. Additionally, her 1,265 assists were second best in the conference. Rodriguez’s success on the court did not end there, as she broke the single season program record for aces, added 12 entries to the Miami Volleyball record book, and sits sixth all-time in career assists (2,239) headed into her junior campaign.
The ACC also announced its Preseason Coaches Poll, as the Hurricanes were picked to finish seventh.
Miami will open its 2026 schedule on the road at Michigan on Friday, August 28 at 6 p.m. The Hurricanes first game inside their home Freeman Indoor Stadium at the Knight Sports Complex is scheduled for Friday, September 4 against UCLA with first serve at 6:30 p.m.
