UM Sports HOF to Host Bowling Tourney
CORALGABLES, Fla. – The University of Miami Sports Hall of Fame’s 2nd annual CelebrityBowling Tournament will be held Mon., Feb. 25 at Splitsville in Sunset Place.The tournament, which will be held from 6-9 p.m., will give fans theopportunity to eat, drink and bowl with former Cane all-stars.
Hurricane greats like football stars Reggie Wayne,Bubba Franks, Gino Torretta, Brett Romberg, Earl Little, basketball standout SteveEdwards and baseball star Alex Santos attended the 2012 event.
Bowlers can sign up individually for $125 or a teamof four can sign up for $400. Adults can purchase social tickets for $50, whilesocial tickets for children under 12 are available for $25. Premium and regularlane sponsorships are also available. Beyond bowling with Cane greats, attendees will haveaccess to complimentary food and drinks and can bid on Hurricanes memorabiliain the silent auction. There will also be a live auction, featuring a packageto Miami’s 2013 home football game vs. Florida football game.
Proceeds from the tournament benefit the UM SportsHall of Fame. Splitsville is located at 5701 Sunset Drive inside TheShops at Sunset Place in South Miami.
