UM Cross Country Unveils Fall Schedule
CORAL GABLES, Fla. – As the countdown to the fall semester continues, the University of Miami cross country teams released their 2012 schedule. The Hurricanes will compete in five regular season meets, in addition to the ACC Championships which will be held Oct. 12 in Blacksburg, Va.
The season will start on Sept. 7 with the Hurricanes traveling to Tampa, Fla., to take part in the USF Invitational.
UM will host one home meet this fall on Sept. 8, the Miami Greentree Invitational. The event will be held at Kendall Indians Hammocks Park in Miami, Fla., with the men’s race scheduled to begin at 7 a.m. and the women’s race at 7:30 a.m.
One week after the Miami Greentree Invitational, the Canes will bus to Gainesville, Fla., for the UF Mountain Dew Invitational. The next race, the Paul Short Run, will be held on Sept. 28 in Lehigh, Pa. Following a two week hiatus, the team will close out the regular season by traveling to Orlando for the UCF Black & Gold Invitational.
The NCAA Regional Championships will be held on Nov. 9 in Tallahassee, Fla., and the NCAA Championships on Nov. 17 in Louisville, Ky.
