COPENHAGEN, DENMARK – Despite 30 points from center Kym Hope (Hollywood,FL/McArthur HS) and 27 from forward Cassaundra Wimes (Miami, FL/CentralHS), the University of Miami women’s basketball team lost in Sunday’s finalof the Copenhagen Cup, 93-87 to Tapiola Honken of Finland.

Hope pulled down 10 rebounds to complete her sixth double-double ofthe seven-game tour. The senior All-American candidate averaged 23points and 11 rebounds over the tour’s seven games.

UM junior point guard Gina Graziani (Pemborke Pines, FL/Cooper CityHS) dished out 14 assists to mark her fourth double-digit assist totalof the tour.

Tapiola Honkan, the number one ranked club team in Finland, was ledby former Syracuse University standout Kristen McCory’s 21 points.

With the defeat, Miami concludes its exhibition tour of Scandinaviawith a 5-2 overall record.The Hurricanes will return to Miami on Tuesday following a sightseeingtour of Copenhagen on Monday.
