CORAL GABLES, Fla. – The Universityof Miami women’s basketballteam (8-6, 3-3 BIG EAST) return home to face Providence (2-11, 1-5BIGEAST) on Wednesday, Jan. 13 at 7 p.m. at the Knight Sports Complexonthe UM campus.

Miami has lost three straightand four of the past five enteringthe game. The three-game streak is the longest for the Hurricanessincethe 1996-97 season.

Providence, 12th place,only leads West Virginia in the BIG EASTstandings, while Miami stands tied for fifth with St. John’s.

The Hurricanes lead theall-time series with Providence 12-4,including a 6-1 mark at the Knight Sports Complex. UM is ledby itspost-players Kym Hope (14.9 ppg, 8.8 rpg), Jennifer Jordan (14.5 ppg,7.6 rpg) and Cassaundra Wimes (13.1 ppg, 4.1 rpg). The Providencegamealso marks the return of sophomore point guard Dona Nando, who toretheACL in her right knee during the summer.
