BATON ROUGE, La. – Sophomore Alex Johnson registered a career-high 17 kills to lead the University of Miami volleyball team to a 3-0 win over Louisiana-Lafayette Saturday afternoon in the Tiger Classic. The event is being housed at the Maravich Center and hosted by LSU, who Miami will play later this evening in the championship match. Miami (2-0) fought past the Ragin’ Cajuns of ULL (2-2) on scores of 25-19, 25-21, 25-16. Johnson, a right side from Tallahassee, Fla., put down six kills in both the first and second set.
