Coral Gables, Fla.-The University of Miami rowing teams travels up to Camden N.J. to row in their first regatta of the season in the Knecht Cup.

The event, which is hosted by Villanova, takes place from Saturday, April 9th to Sunday, April 10th. The meet provides Miami a chance to rebound from their narrow defeat last week at the hands of Old Dominion.

“It’s a really great test,” said Head Coach Andrew Carter. “It’s the last race before the ACC Championships, so it provides us a pre-ACC measuring post.”

Over 50 schools from across the country are partaking in this year’s event. Including Miami, four of the six ACC schools are participating, with Boston College, Duke, and Virginia Tech traveling to Cooper River, N.J. to compete.

The Hurricanes will enter three different boats. They will bring a varsity eight, a novice eight and a novice four to the regatta.
